چکیده

Aim. To study the relationship of coronary microvascular dysfunction (CMD) with levels pro- and anti-inflammatory biomarkers in patients preserved ejection fraction (LVEF) non-obstructive artery disease (CAD). Material methods . The included 118 (70 men, mean age, 62,0 [58,0; 69,0] years) LVEF (62 [59; 64] %) CAD. Serum N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP), interleukin-1β, 6, 10 were assessed initially by enzyme immunoassay. Coronary flow reserve (CFR) was dynamic single photon emission computed tomography. CFR ≤2 a CMD marker. Results. Patients divided into groups depending on presence: group 1 (n=45), 2 control without (n=73). HsCRP concentrations 1,8 times higher (p=0,011) compared to 2. Interleukin-6 did not differ significantly between (p=0,842), while interleukin-10 lower 21,7 % (p=0,048), interleukin-1β 2,7 (p=0,046) According ROC analysis, hsCRP concentration ≥4,8 g/l (AUC=0,655; p=0,012), NT-proBNP ≥950,6 pg/ml (AUC=0,792; p<0,001) identified as markers associated CAD, 6 showed no diagnostic significance. Multivariate regression analysis that diastolic (odds ratio, 3,27; 95% confidence interval, 2,26-5,64; 2,07; 1,56-4,12; p=0,023) independent factors CMD. Conclusion We established presence is expression pro-inflammatory decrease an marker, which may confirm fact chronic inflammation one pathogenesis links.

Chronic inflammation and coronary microvascular dysfunction in patients without risk factors for coronary artery disease.

AIMS To demonstrate that exposure to chronic inflammation results in coronary microvascular dysfunction (CMD). METHODS AND RESULTS Using positron emission tomography, resting and hyperaemic (adenosine, 140 microg/kg/min) myocardial blood flow (MBF) was measured in 25 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) or rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Coronary flow reserve (CFR) was calculated as ad...

Obstructive sleep apnea and the severity of coronary artery disease

Background: It has been implicated that obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease including stroke, myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease (CAD) and hypertension. The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between OSA and severity of atherosclerosis assessed by angiography. Methods: This study included 337 patients ...

Evaluation of iron status in patients with coronary artery disease

Background: Iron can causes lipid peroxidation in vivo and in vitro. Iron  promotes myocardial injury in experimental animals. Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) oxidation by oxidants including iron have a central role in atherosclerotic process. By this means, evaluation of serum iron in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) has a significant importance. Materials and Methods: In this cross s...

Comparison of Treatment Outcomes in Off-pump Coronary Artery Bypass Graft and Medical Therapy in Patients with Triple-vessel Coronary Artery Disease and Severe Ventricular Dysfunction

Introduction: Heart failure is a major hazard for public health. Despite recent advance in medical therapy, there is not enough information on the outcome of off-pump coronary artery bypass (OPCAB) and medical therapy on the patients with severe ventricular dysfunction and triple-vessel (CAD). This study aimed to compare treatment outcomes and mortality rate in patients undergoing off-pump coro...

Elevated C-reactive protein levels and coronary microvascular dysfunction in patients with coronary artery disease.

AIMS It is still unknown whether elevated C-reactive protein levels are responsible for coronary microcirculatory dysfunction in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). This study was aimed at evaluating the association between C-reactive protein levels and endothelium-dependent and endothelium-independent coronary blood flow (CBF) responses in non-culprit arteries of patients with CAD. ...
